BODY

Start with yellow color (YarnArt Jeans 88)

  1. Rnd 1: 5 sc in magic ring = 5
  2. Tug the tail to tighten the ring. Put your stitch marker here and move it each round
  3. Rnd 2: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc = 6
  4. Rnd 3: inc, sc, 2 inc, sc, inc = 10
  5. Rnd 4: sc, 7 inc, 2 sc = 17
  6. Rnd 5: 4 sc, [inc, sc] * 5 times, 3 sc = 22
  7. Rnd 6: 5 sc, [inc, sc] * 6 times, 5 sc = 28
  8. Rnd 7: 6 sc, [inc, sc] * 8 times, 6 sc = 36
  9. Rnd 8-9: 36 sc = 36 (2 rounds)

PECTORAL FIN x 2

Begin with light blue color (YarnArt Jeans 81)

  1. Rnd 1: 4 sc in magic ring = 4
  2. Rnd 2: [sc, inc] * 2 times = 6
  3. Rnd 3: [sc, inc] * 3 times = 9
  4. Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] * 3 times = 12
  5. Rnd 5: 12 sc = 12
  6. Change to dark blue color
  7. Rnd 6: [3 sc, inc] * 3 times = 15
  8. Cut the yarn and sew the opening with a tapestry needle.

HAIR

Ch 7, turn, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chs, ch 7, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chs, ch 7, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chs. Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving long to sew later.

ASSEMBLING

  • Sew the tail first on the body, in the middle of the back side. If you mark the position of the tail with pins beforehand, it will be more assured.
  • Sew the dorsal fins on the body as in the picture below.
  • Pin the hair just from the bottom on the head and sew gently.
  • Pin the pectoral fins on the right side and left side of the body and sew gently.
  • Embroider the eyebrows and the mouth using thin black yarn.
