  • ½ kg fish fillets
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • Lemon juice

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¾ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp coriander powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp rice flour
  • 1 ½ tbsp besan (gram flour)
  • Salt
  • ¼ to ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 sprig curry leaves, chopped finely


  1. In a bowl, mix ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and red chili powder to form a marinade.
  2. Rub the marinade over the fish fillets and let them marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine rice flour, besan, salt, and red chili powder to make the coating mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Dredge the marinated fish fillets in the coating mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  6. Carefully place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
